I highly recommend John Handrick’s Mommy and Me Fit Camp.  While working out with John twice a week for eight weeks, I lost 16 pounds and dropped 2 pant sizes.  I love my added energy and my posture has greatly improved.  Also, my 4 year old daughter is very excited when she gets to exercise with mommy and I love that I am being a great role model, teaching her the benefits of eating healthy and having an active lifestyle.  John is able to incorporate the kids into our exercise routine so it’s great that I can have both of my daughters with me if I need to.  He also understands that,  as a mom, I carry lots of bags and my kids around all day so focusing on “mommy muscles” has been a huge benefit.   When I first heard about the Mommy and Me Fit Camp, I was worried that it would be like other group exercise programs my neighbors had participated in. They would come home bruised and sick to their stomachs.  John knows how to push you without taking you over your limits and, even in a group setting, modifying exercises to meet each individuals needs.

I am writing this recommendation letter on behalf of John Handrick, my personal trainer. 

At the end of last summer I signed up for John’s Rockstar Mom class at West University Place Recreation Center.  The first session started September 2011 and I have enrolled in every session since the start of the program.  Most certainly, I plan to continue for as long as possible.  John is extremely competent, professional and motivating.

As a former Division I NCAA track athlete, I find that John’s knowledge surrounding exercise and nutrition exceeds that of many of my past college coaches.  Under John’s supervision my strength, posture, physical wellness and overall attitude to health has improved, so much so that at age 39 I would honestly consider competing again.

As passionate as John is about nutrition and exercise, it comes as no surprise that John is a true motivator.  John has helped me to better understand even my own children’s nutritional needs.  Because of John I am more conscientious about what my family eats or cooks.  John is more than capable of making real change in educating Texans’ about their food choices and in convincing people to engage in routine physical activity.

One of John’s most notable characteristics is his professionalism.  The Rockstar Mom program consists of women of varying; sizes, responsibilities and attitudes, yet John manages us all.  He is consistently punctual, readily flexible, and always considerate and personal about individual goals. 

Overall, in a short time John has impressed me so much that my husband now trains with him.  Perhaps, one day my children might train with him as well.

After hearing the need for a group dedicated to moms, I called upon my many years of experience with new mothers and created RockStar Moms fitcamps. I have created a workout to alleviate back aches, body pains, bad posture, and other ailments that carrying baby(ies), and their bags and luggage can cause.

I have also created a diet that fights fatigue, increases metabolism, reduces weight gained from baby, and provides energy all day long with no energy crashes.
